Crucifixion and Resurrection don't make sense?

So God sent down his son (who was actually himself) to earth, made him suffer torture and get nailed to a cross to save us from a problem that he created? When Jesus said "Why have you forsaken me?" was he talking to himself? Couldn't God just snap his fingers and *Bam* fix the problem? Why did he create hell in the first place? If he's all knowing wouldn't he know about everyone who is destined to go to hell and do nothing about it? Y'know just kinda let them roast for eternity. Why did God screw up so many things when he created the universe, it's pretty much the worst invention ever.
