My aloe vera plant is almost dead, can i revive it?

The soil was too damp so I put it outside to dry up a bit and forgot it out there for a day or 2...its like all dried up...thin..wilted..hardly and gel now :( I braught it in..gave it a little water and put it by a window..it doesn't seem to be helping, what could I do?
