Kitten keeps peeing where I sleep?
I just adopted a roughly 4-5 week old kitten about a week ago. He was a stray but is old enough to eat canned food (with less gas than KMR) and he uses the litter box-pees and poops in it without a problem. But I noticed a damp spot on one blanket, thought it was condensation from a cup-it wasn't. He then peed on me in the middle of the night. Blanket #2 down. The only blanket he hadn't reached was the final one he peed on. So I thought ok, he just needs marking and peeing and I can't deal with the upkeep of that until I can get him fixed-and that won't stop it. He peed the final time on the mattress pad this morning. So after researching everyone says UTI UTI. So I am giving him a small amount of antibiotics, because he is not in the spraying position that I've read about. I am not healthy enough to keep up with this behavior, and I get conflicting info about showing him to the box. Problem is that I also can't smell his pee but I can smell my other cat's pee just fine. Maybe I need to keep them separated longer? She just stopped hissing at him and they play, but she won't sleep with me now because he bothers her. Okay, thanks!
