Why is Islam accepted when it says things like this...?

All the abrhamic faiths have rather nasty bits in their holy books. Christianity is pretty much the same. The abrahamic faiths generally have statements which are unacceptable to most modern people and yet the faiths continue to flourish. Unfortunatley there are fundamentlists of all faith that stick to these things as well. Would that the abrhamic faiths generally would just go away.
